The following movies will end up eventually have better organization. For now, I just want them on here before I lose them completely. :)
Human Centipede, The (2009)
My Rating: 3.5/5
What happened? A German surgeon plays God with three terrified tourists by sewing them together to create a Human Centipede.
Why I liked it? It was grotesque, graphic, and obscene. The doctor was pure evil, having no real motivation for his actions except for is obsession with attaching organs to the wrong things and a brilliant hate for humanity (and such a nice jacket! I loved this because in the end, no one won, even the only survivor stood no chance of making it away from the house alive. It was resolved just how I wanted, unhappy endings!
Kuchisake-onna: The Slit-Mouthed Woman (2007)
My Rating: 3.5/5
What happened? While a school is terrorized by rumors of the Slit-Mouthed Woman, students disappear and two brave teachers rush to uncover the truth behind the urban legend.
Why I liked it? I'm a sucker for Foreign horror movies, especially Japanese ones. Though the twists were a little predictable, and straying from the real Japanese urban legend, the movie was violent and abusive to it's victims. Again, unhappy endings are the best ones and Kuchisake-onna caught me off guard at the end!
Grace (2007)
My Rating: 3/5
What happened? A miracle birth following a tragic accident launches a distraught woman into a dark, reclusive world of madness and unconditional love.
Why I liked it? Well, childbirth being one of the only things in the world that terrifies me except for the concept of giant mutant robot spiders from space (shudder), this movie really instilled some fear in me. The story kept me guessing until the very end, which offered no explanations. I can only figure that it was freak accident of nature, and it could happen to me one day. (Not a fun thought.)
Coming Soon:
Apartment 1303
The Baby's Room
Masters of Horror: Family
The Call of Cthulhu
Old and new movies, in no particular order. I've got my eye on a few so... We'll see what I can come up with. :)
